The Mountain View Art & Wine Festival is one of the largest festivals in the San Francisco Bay Area. Working with Studio 22 Design, I created a new original colour palette for the 51st edition of the award winning festival, an event attended by over 200,000 people.

The Mountain View Art & Wine Festival is described as "an authentic and moveable feast for the senses." It is Silicon Valley’s world-class art, music, and food festival. Voted Best Festival by Metro readership for more than a decade, the event is a spectacular celebration with a top shelf lineup featuring over 350 of America’s finest artists and craftmakers showing handcrafted wares.

For the 51st edition of the festival, the Mountain View Chamber of commerce wanted to amp up and refresh the vibe and color palette of the festival, prompting Studio 22 and myself to create a scheme that represented summer, fun, art, wine, and the diverse cultures of downtown Mountain View, on Castro Street. Labelled "Miami," this color palette contained electric blue-greens, exciting pinks, and vibrant reds.

The main poster for the festival required space for over 40 sponsor logos, information links, and exciting but succinct details about the festival. For an intriguing backdrop, I felt a liquidy wine-coloured background created using the traditional Turkish 'ebru' technique would really make the poster pop and highlight the wine portion of the festival. The aquamarine and yellow highlights of the foreground elements had no issue standing out when paired with this.

The festival also needed digital ads to achieve maximum outreach, which lead to over 10 different dimensions of ads being created. These included several banners, stories and Instagram posts.

Full colour print and billboard ads were also created for use in newspapers and major display signage spots in the Bay Area such as PenTV and KMVT.
